Volunteering Opportunities

Would you like to volunteer?

Salford Disability Forum (SDF) is recruiting volunteers to support the development of the organisation.

Why do we need your time?

Disabled people, individuals with long term conditions and their families sometimes have problems, worries and fears that they are too scared or embarrassed to discuss or do not know where to turn for support. Salford Disability Forum provides a voice on behalf of disabled people and their families and advocates achieving positive change in their lives.

Therefore, Salford Disability Forum is expanding its information, signposting and advocacy service which is staffed by volunteers in addition to recruiting volunteers to support our events.

A number of roles are available:

- Administration volunteer support

- Volunteer event workers

- Volunteer trainee advisers

- Volunteer trainee advocates

- Writers and editorial support for publication material

Full training and support will be provided for all volunteer roles. Salford Disability Forum welcomes applications from all communities.

Benefits of volunteering for Salford Disability Forum include:

- Meeting People

- Training

- Role experience

- Positive outcomes for disabled people and their families
